Spurs might not have been able to knock The Reds out of the #1 spot last Saturday but Chelsea sure did. Not in the way you think but Chelsea managed to give Fulham a beating and accumulate some much-deserved points to move them to the top.
West Ham was able to beat Everton 2-1 and spelt victory as they won their first game. Will they be able to take on Chelsea this Sunday and possibly move Liverpool back where they were? After winning only 12 of their 44 previous head-to-heads do West Ham stand a chance?
So far Liverpool will probably win their 6th match of the season as they take on Southampton. After winning 18 out of 38 games head to head the game will probably play in their favour. Southampton managed to only win 10 and draw the rest. Will the Saints get a beating this weekend which results in Liverpool taking back their #1 spot?
Man City is taking on Cardiff on Saturday at 16H00. This will only be their 3rd encounter as both have won a game going head-to-head. With City’s near-perfect scorecard this season, we can already see that Cardiff might struggle to win their first game this weekend.
While some teams will win their 6th game in a row others are still trying to win their first. Struggling teams like Cardiff, Huddersfield, Burnley and Newcastle are in-line for their first victory. Last year Huddersfield, Burnley and Newcastle won at least one game in their first 3 matches while Cardiff didn’t play in the EPL last year. Ending in 7th, 10th and 16th place all four teams are now sitting in the bottom 4. What will this weekend have in store for them?
