Match week 2 is almost over with the last 2 teams match kicking off at 9 tonight. After finishing off in 1st and 4th place, Crystal palace and Liverpool will be in the run for their second win of the Premier League season. Who will be on top of today’s game?
Since Saturday 13.30 we’ve seen some interesting matches between the teams and some players making it or breaking it.
Yesterday Man City and Huddersfield played the first game of the day and Sergio Aguero surprised us all. Not only did Huddersfield get a hiding but Aguero managed to score his 13th hat-trick. Just before half time Huddersfield got a bit of a spirit lifter as Jon Gorenc Stankovic managed to score a goal for his team. Assisting in the 6-1 win for Man City, Terence Kongolo scored his own goal at 84’ which was unfortunate for Huddersfield as it puts them at the bottom of the leader board after match week 2. Man city is currently at top moving from 5th to the #1 spot with 6 points.
City’s rivals however didn’t have such luck last night against Brighton. United lost 2-3 as the header from Romelu Lukaku and late penalty from Paul Pogba weren’t good enough as Glenn Murray, Shane Duffy & Pascal Gross took it home for their team.
Saturdays first match ended in a tie as Newcastle got this season’s first red card. Isaac Hayden recklessly tackles Cardiff winger, Josh Murphy, from behind and gets send off after only 20 min on the field. Javier Manquillo was substituted for Hayden at 46’. Hayden in the meantime Tweeted on Saturday owning up for his unnecessary error. He said:
Have to appologise to everyone for today, was a needless tackle and one that was stupid from me in that circumstance in the game. Will learn from it for sure and will be doing my upmost to repair my mistake today, for my teammates, manager and staff and fans in the future #NUFC
