Real Madrid is more on the ball from the start of the game.
Chelsea midfielder, Kante misses the net from right in front! James takes possession of the ball and passes wide to Havertz who then deflects to Kante. The disappointment is seen on the French player’s face after the miss.
Modric is seen handling the ball loosely which cost them possession, twice in 12 min.
Madrid takes a chance at the net but slams it into the post. Great first meaningful attack from their side as Rodrygo opts to go for the goal when he spots an opening on the right-hand side.
Chelsea is booked for a free-kick as Madrid is the first to score a yellow card. Militao and Gallagher collide recklessly, and Fernandez is seen delivering the free kick.
Chelsea midfielder hands Madrid a free-kick as Cucurella is the first Blues player to be booked for a foul. Rodrygo is seen being maliciously tripped by the Spanish player.
One min into extra time, Cucurella tries to make up for his foul. With help from Kovacic and James, Cucurella controls the ball up until the net as Courtois blocks it with both hands.
